2023: the Arundel Bypass A27 scheme controversy
National Highways were planning to submit a Development Consent Order for their devastating 8km scheme in spring 2023. They have been told there's no money for the scheme until 2025-2030, and only then if they change the scheme to better consider the environment and stakeholder consultation responses.
The fight continues in earnest, to get this dreadful scheme cancelled and replaced with a far less damaging plan supported by local communities and environmentalists, the Arundel Alternative.
